Two years ago, we had an idea for how to radically improve IT Operations and just last week, Rocana was recognized by Gartner as a "Cool Vendor". This is an incredible honor and quite an accomplishment for the team.
While the innovation going on at Rocana is a factor in helping us so quickly get noticed by one of the premier analyst firms, it's really recognition of the impact we're having that I'm most proud of. We believe Gartner looks for not just cool new technologies (as the Cool Vendor label suggests) but specifically vendors who have a positive impact on their customers' business.
Today it is increasingly important for tools supporting IT operations teams to scale to handle growing IT infrastructure and integrate with existing technology. Rocana is frequently called out for the approach we have taken bringing the learnings of cloud scale operations to enterprise grade software.
As we've observed from early on, the market need for IT operations is changing. IT operations is increasingly a big data discipline that requires algorithmic solutions in order to both keep up with the changing IT landscape and add value to the business. Some recent customer examples include a national retailer combining POS, network, security and application logs, and system metrics so they can detect issues anywhere across the stack before these issues impact their stores. Another large customer who provides investment services globally is rolling Rocana out across their private cloud infrastructure both to monitor the internal service quality and on their call center application, to make sure they are able to deliver end to end support for their users.
We're obviously excited that Rocana's technology is getting noticed. This is tremendous validation that we've identified a revolutionary approach to IT Operations. Even more exciting is the impact our technology has on how companies can innovate and operate next generation IT infrastructure to deliver better services to their customers.
